  1. As a retired elementary teacher of 31 years, I love this post. I still remember one of the first lessons my master teacher taught me during my student teaching year: “Don’t model me; find your own style.” She was a fabulous teacher, so that left me somewhat confused at first. As the year progressed, I discovered that my style did not mean I had to be some authoritative figure who intimidated kids into behaving. Rather, my style was to be myself and inject humor and make my classroom a fun place where kids wanted to be.

Seinfeld is also my favorite show. I don’t watch that much television, but I have seen every episode. George Costanza is one of my favorite characters, so I immediately remembered the episode you referenced. Leading up to the 2024 election, I proudly wore a T-shirt which said, “Seinfeld and Costanza 2024: A Campaign About Nothing.” 😎
